How do I know which course to take?
Most professional clients (RN, RPN, Dentist, Physiotherapist, Dental hyghynist…) take CPR level C or HCP depending on their specific needs. If you are taking a course to meet occupational health and safety requirements, your employer can tell you which course to take. Emergency First Aid and Standard First Aid are the two most popular courses, although we have a variety of other courses specially designed and possible to be tailored to specific needs of your company. These courses can range from a half-an-hour lunch and learn session, to one hour lecture, two hours lecture and hands-on practice, etc…. A customer service representative of emergiCA will be happy to discuss your needs and help you determine the course that is right for you.

How long is my first aid certification valid?
First Aid certification is usually valid for three years. Although it is not mandatory, many major organizations involved in CPR training like emergiCA (as well as others like St. John’s Ambulance…) recommend that CPR courses be re-taken annually. For advanced and specialized programs, please refer to the course descriptions within this site for information on maintaining certification.
